The camera will be returned to you via USPS. The average turnaround time is about one month. Rush service is available for an additional fee. Rush service is completed the same day the equipment is received and requires a 50% fee of the total cost of repairs.
If you’re unsure of your camera’s condition (outlined in the sections below), you can ship it to me for diagnosis. After diagnosing the issue, I will contact you with pricing, and you can decide whether to proceed. If you’re local, an appointment can also be arranged. Note that return shipping is not included in the service costs. Repairs are guaranteed for 6 months.
Hasselblad V Series Cameras (Non-EL Only)
- Basic Body Service – $250.00
The body is disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled to factory specifications. This includes inspecting and adjusting: body focal length, screen height and flatness, mechanism plate, brake mechanism, auxiliary shutters, front gearing, lens key, and mirror angle.
Lubrication: mechanism plate, front gearing, auxiliary shutter pivots, lens lock mechanism.
Replacements: mirror foam, brake rubber (as needed). - Special Service: For damaged cameras (e.g., jammed, forced, dropped, bent, broken mirror), email me with the issue, and we can arrange an inspection for $35.00 to determine the problem and cost. If you choose to proceed with service, the $35.00 fee will be waived.
- Basic Back Service (A12, A16, A24, C12, C16, C24, etc.) – $125.00
Disassemble, clean, reassemble, and lubricate to factory specifications. Includes replacing the light trap. - Basic Lens Service – $250.00 (FLE lenses $300.00)
Clean, lubricate, and adjust the shutter mechanism, including the escapement mechanism, self-timer, aperture mechanism, and depth of field preview. Lenses are adjusted to ANSI speed tolerances.
Weak springs in C lenses may result in slower top speeds. You can elect to have a new spring installed for an additional $75.00. If a weak spring is found, I will inform you.
Shutters with broken leaves or other damage will require a diagnosis for $35.00 to determine the repair cost. If service is performed, the $35.00 fee is waived. - Focus Helicoid Service/Collimation – $125.00
- SWC Cameras – $400.00
Shutter overhaul, focus mechanism clean and lubrication, advance mechanism clean and lubrication, new light seals.

Camera Inspection
Cameras that are defective, damaged, or of unknown condition will be inspected at a cost of $35.00 to determine the problem and cost. If you decide to proceed with the service, the $35.00 fee will be waived.
